On May 26, 2026, at Milan Bergamo Airport, NextBG was officially unveiled: the first electric bike rental service launched inside an Italian airport terminal. The press conference brought together the leadership of Sacbo and DIF S.p.A., together with a cycle tourism expert and founder of e-Stelvio, and technical partners Würth and Bergamont. The presentation told the story of a project bringing together sustainable mobility and local tourism: over 25 latest-generation Bergamont e-bikes available directly at the airport, guided routes to Città Alta, through the Moscato di Scanzo vineyards and as far as Malpaga Castle, plus a fully equipped bike room for travelers bringing their own bicycle.
Since then, NextBG has grown: alongside the airport hub, a second starting point has opened at Chorus Life, in the heart of the city. The offering has expanded with a richer range of tours, experiences that can be tailored to each guest’s needs, and the option to rent an e-bike fully independently to explore the area at your own pace.
